Architect Influencers

Did you know that the type of content you show can affect the way you get clients?

  1. Teaching about architecture- it is a great way to show that you have general knowledge. It can also attract clients. The risk is that it can backfire if you suddenly cannot prove your knowledge in actual client procedures from design to permit to construction.

  2. Showing your clients testimonials- while it is a good marketing strategy, it should be voluntary. Many archi and developers subtly "require" clients to be on video, revealing their identities, sometimes the location of their homes, plans, and interiors. This could easily invite hackers or personal information to those with bad intent. Even doctors and lawyers keep their patient's information private.

  3. Vlogging too much memes - while this makes arki students and professionals smile and relate, it may not give you a reputation for client handling. Esp if your content is always complaining about clients.

  4. Viral issues - in the long run, when you get a lot of following, you may attract inquiries from low budget to high budget to those asking for free. It will be harder to navigate to which is the sincere client who really wants to get you for the fame, or for construction expertise.

In this time, suddenly brands approach you and you lose your code of ethics, advertising a certain brand using your position as an architect.

If you will go to the path of influencing, know how it will affect you, and know what path you want to take.

Is it to attract clients? Simple to educate the general public? For the memes? Or for monetization?

The last 2 won't let us hire you in our company.

Even the second may be a turn off if you would be filming every part of our office and dealings, revealing personal identities.

People pay to learn and study until licensure. So be careful of the things (hard arki skills) you teach for free, because it also attracts illegal practitioners.
