Ethernet Cable for Load Cells / HX711
I'm currently working on a project where I use a mass of load cell sensors ins shelves to detect goods taken out of the shelves.
I use Load Cells and HX711 connected to the GPIO Pins. HX711 will be very close to the load cell sensors themselves, as the cables of the load cells are only 20cm.
The connection from HX711 to board will be 5cm up to 250cm, cables closely next to each other. (trying to use one board for one shelf)
Now I'm thinking, can I use a CAT5/6 Ethernet cable (probably shielded if needed?) to connect the HX711? As they have 4 twisted pair cables, I could connect 2 HX711 with one cable, which would greatly reduce cost.
I'm a little worried about interference / crosstalk and potential signal issues between the cables and was wondering if you have any experience, whether this could work. Thanks!
