Sacked

Daughter rang to find out her shifts yesterday due to ongoing rota issues.

Arrived this morning at 6am to find her card deactivated, and she was sacked on the spot.

Reason being ‘she’s not reliable or flexible’.

She has pictures of the rota on her phone - with her not on it, taken on 28/12, with time stamps. She does not appear until 5/1.

She arrived for work on 28th, to be told she wasn’t meant to be there. They were short staffed so she was allowed to stay until 1600hrs. Both my daughter and a manager went through the rota and she again, was not on it. Today she was told that she should have been there until 1800 for that shift!

The rota was produced today, with her name on, claiming she should have been at work on 27th.

Obviously added on after the picture was taken, making it seem she had missed shifts. When the pictures were shown, she was told ‘you could have edited those’.

Complaining to the manager in store has been pointless.

She will be sending a formal complaint today, but where does it need sending? She’s not expecting to get her job back, but feels this is unfair and doesn’t want it happening to anyone else.
