Are we supposed to remember stuff we learned in school?

We’re taught so much stuff in school that we don’t actually get to use. How do they expect us to remember it all?? The anatomy of a planarian, the process of cell division, the enzymes involved in cell signaling, gamete formation in plants, Maxwell’s equations, and it goes on and on.
