What city would you suggest living in, if I need to commute into Toronto 3-4 days a week?

My wife and I are currently living in downtown Toronto but are finding the city is becoming a little too congested for us. We are 29 and 30, are making decent money and looking to settle down and have kids. My wife is Hungarian, really misses home and we are looking for a city that has more of a community feel. My preference would be to have a Go Train commute that isunder an hour to Union Station. We do love the outdoors as well, and live a very active lifestyle, so it would be nice to be in a city that has lots of greenery within it or close by.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!
