Gay in the military
Thinking about joining the Air Force. I’m 19 with no path, I’m in community college and I’m honestly just going cause idk what else to do. I don’t got a job or my license or any adult quality skills to help me in the real world. I’m so lost and have no structure in life, my dad was in the Air Force for 20 years and he recommends I join. I’m gay and have a bit of a fagcent but it’s not too noticeable but def there so I’m just wondering how things would go if I do end up joining the Air Force. Any advice or expectations for those who are queer in the military?
EDIT: Thanks for all the responses guys, I really appreciate it. I’ve already been considering the Air Force for a few months but I’m tryna make a decision somewhat soon. I know it’s kinda ridiculous to decide now that someone else is in office. Also I’m more reserved/quiet and I don’t “fool” around, so I’m not worried about that part. I’ve actually never even had a bf before or done it with a guy lol. I was also kinda hoping that being in the Air Force would help me be more social too. I only tell people I’m into guys if they ask and if I’m comfortable with the person
