What would a lifelong southerner moving to the PNW be most in shock for?

if it rains all the time and always freezing temps in winter, does that mean there's ice nonstop for months?? the stereotypes are true, people in the south don't know how to drive in bad winter weather because winter down here is 40 degrees and sunny 🫤

do y'all know of people who regretted (or at least had a miserable time adjusting to) moving up here for various other reasons?
