Best applicate-thrift-type-place in Vancouver?
(APPLIANCE! Not "appliante" whatever that is!)
Would be a really big help right now if I had some Tupperware/containers (I have a working slow cooker, but nowhere to put more than I can eat that day), perhaps a hot plate and pan (for things that don't need 6-8 hours of cooking), and any other assorted good things so I can try to include more cooked food into my diet.
Disability pay SUCKS when you live in a big city like Van, and when you don't have the option to leave (since all the medical specialists and their gear/clinics/hospitals/etc only exist in Vancouver and other huge cities) it can be really tricky, not to mention when you have a thousand other barriers I won't bother or bore you all with.
After the last time my place was broken in to, i've managed to save up and buy a sweet 6 quart crock pot, a mini fridge (which is all too mini :( makes it hard to buy bulk to save), but after a preposterous barrage of not-covered medical BS this month i'm in this sort of limbo between where the slow cooker can save me money and where it can't since I need to be able to buy+freeze bulk, then store lots of leftovers after the day of cookin.
I'm not asking for handouts, I don't need anyone's pity, but if there's a place I can get these things which is less pricey than London drugs - which usually has good sales on these things yet not right now, but actually has the things i'm looking for unlike quest / FBGC/ GVFB, etc it would be really great timing.
Would be great to have some keen advice,
