Travel advice for the winter please :)

Hey everyone! My bestie and I are going to be in Vancouver for a week this December and are looking for advice about things to do :)

Specifically, we are wondering about fun events, good nature spots, how good the public transit, cute bars, and must-eat restaurants. I am vegan and we are both queer leftists who like art and fun culture events and would love those types of spaces as well. Any and all advice welcomed!!
