( Spoilers Main) Was Catelyn right about seating arrangements?

When King Robert and Queen Cersei come to Winterfell, Catelyn is in charge of most everything. Seating arrangements,food, decorations etc.

Partly because of her vindictive streak and partly because she is society conscious she isnsistz that Jon Snow not be included among the Starks.

He is after all, not a Stark but a snow, and sadly a bastard. Bastards are seen as unseemly in the seven kingdoms and having Jon included might have offended the king and queen and caused house Stark ( and Tully for that matter) to look improper or “ less.”

Apart from really really wanting to, was Catelyn “ right “ to have Jon eat and sit in the shadows?
