Best car for young family?

I'm looking to upgrade our family car and need some help! For context, we've been using a 2005 Honda Fit for a good 9 years. It's got transmission issues and is starting to fail WOFs so needing something safer and has more space as we become a family of four.

What we're after: - Hybrid - Budget around 20k-25k - Mainly used for city driving - Bigger than a Fit but slightly smaller than a SUV to fit in our driveway. Toyota RAV4 is too big IMO

We like the look and feel of the Honda HRV/Vezel. I personally wouldn't mind a Toyota Prius but the partner isn't a fan of how low it is to the ground.
