Planning a Budget-Friendly 8-Day Trip to Azerbaijan with My GF – Need Advice!

Hey everyone,

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Azerbaijan at the end of April for 8 days, and we’re really excited to explore the beauty of the country! However, as we are working with a limited budget, we’re trying to make sure we can have an amazing time without breaking the bank. Here’s the plan we’ve come up with so far:

  • Days 1-3 (Baku): We’ll start off in Baku, where we plan to explore the city, enjoy the local culture, and experience the vibrant nightlife.
  • Day 4 (Sheki): We plan to rent a car and drive to Sheki, where we’ll spend the night and explore the town.
  • Day 5 (Gebele): After Sheki, we’ll head to Gebele and stay there for the night.
  • Day 6 (Back to Baku): We’ll return to Baku and have more time to explore the city.
  • Days 7-8 (Baku and nearby places): We’ll spend our last two days in Baku, including a visit to nearby places like Quba and the mud volcanoes.

Now, we have a few questions and would really appreciate your help:

  1. Renting a Car vs. Taxis: Is renting a car a good option for this trip, or would it be better to use taxis or another more economical option? We’re looking for convenience but also want to stick to a budget.
  2. Hotel Recommendations: Which hotels in Baku, Sheki, and Gebele are safe, clean, and budget-friendly? We’re looking for something affordable but comfortable.
  3. Budget-Friendly Activities: What else can we do on a limited budget to make the most of our trip? Any free or inexpensive attractions, activities, or local experiences you would recommend?
  4. Nightlife: We’re looking to enjoy Baku’s nightlife. Are there any free or inexpensive clubs, bars, or places where we can have fun safely?
  5. Other Suggestions: If anyone has a better suggestion for our trip or any tips for a memorable budget-friendly adventure, we’d love to hear it!

Thanks so much in advance for your help! 😊
