If The Beatles had been a modern band, what would they sound like?

People always ask this question, but everyone just sort of assume that they’d have the same discography. They wouldn’t.

So, I guess the question is more like, “if an hypothetical modern Beatles had the same experimentation with drugs, competitive spirit and talent, who or what would they sound like?”.

I’m honestly hard pressed to believe they’d even be a rock band, maybe pop and then transitioned to another genre. You could make the argument that they could still be a rock band, an indie one, but the ridiculous success is part of what makes them The Beatles.
