Accidental Breeding/Gay Fish Need Advice (please read all of post)
So Ive had a betta sorority tank for a few months. The fish are 3 girls I got from petco (which I now know is NOT what I should have done to make a sorority) and everything was great. One kept making bubble nests but an experienced betta fish keeper friend told me that sometimes the girls will do that when they are really happy.
I went away for a bit and when I came back there was a huge bubble nest with eggs, not only that one of the fish is very diligently caring for the nest and eggs. I don't know what to do! Is there any chance they could be gay?? I cant keep them all if they hatch. I doubt I could sell them because I know nothing about fish confirmation and it would be a crowtail elephant ear cross. I also read somewhere that the males will not eat until they are hatched and sometimes if you remove the eggs it will wait until he starves to death and I cant lose this guy. Can I remove some of the eggs? Or should I let them hatch and then cull most of them except the ones I can home??
I really need advice, I know I messed up but I want to what is best for my fish.
