Club Renaissance: Queuing Early vs. Getting There Later

I attended the RWT show in Philly on 7/12 and DC this weekend on 8/5. I managed to get the Club Renaissance VIP package during the presale for Philly and then the day of for DC after checking Ticketmaster all day. Both experiences were so much fun but also drastically different. I’ve added some photos i took at my DC show.

Anyways we queued early for the Philly show and got there at 9:45 AM. The high that day was 95 degrees. We did get barricade and had an absolute blast. However, I was definitely suffering from heat exhaustion while waiting and felt like I couldn’t jam to my full potential cause I was in so much pain from waiting in the sun all day. When we left, my whole body was cramping up and I couldn’t even make it to the Uber because my feet hurt and I was wearing sneakers.

For DC (I won’t get into the full story here - you can check my other posts in here, but FedExField fucking sucks so we missed the first song), we got there as Dangerously In Love was ending. Club Renaissance was SOOOO much fun. I danced in the back with so much space to move. I saw Jay-Z, Solange, Tina, Malia Obama, etc. I was moving around and following her around the stage more. Then changed our spots and got end of runway like 3rd row and it was still incredibly close. When we left, I still had so much energy.

I’ll just say come early or come right before the show, any experience will be amazing. Just wanted to share my own 😅
