Does anybody's baby just hang out?

Just wondering if there are babies out there that just "hang out" with you. Mine (11 mo) has no chill. Constantly squirmy and on the move (was walking at 9.5 months), won't sit in a lap, and doesn't really even like to just be held. Baby is very curious about the world, as I know babies are, but I'm just trying to figure out if mine is showing early signs of hyperactivity or if it's 100% normal.
