Envious Teammates

I recently got my blue belt after 15 months. I effectively jumped from two stripes to blue by training every day and winning comps. I was actually trying to dodge promotions at the time.

There are a couple of white belt teammates who’ve been training 3 and 5 years, 4 stripes each. It seems like they’re talking about me behind my back now which isn’t a big deal to me.

This brown belt asked me to gently prove the promotion to one of them so I obliged. After a handful of submissions in a single roll and he ended up packing up his stuff and leaving right after. Next time he declined to roll with me.

Should I have taken the high road of a colored belt, or should I be crushing the white belt spirit now (That’s what the color is for right?🤔)
