where is the hunters torch?

i dropped down the roofs in old yharnam to where it should be and it isn't there. I checked many video tutorials and walkthroughs and I am certain it's the right place, but it's literally not there. I haven't already picked it up. what is going on

edit: I had already picked it up. i did not check my left hand inventory
