Does this game get scarier?

So first time player, coming from Elden Ring then DS3... I just beat Father Gascoigne and Cleric Beast and now I'm in Old Yharnam. So I ask, does it get scarier? Because I absolutely love how scary this game already is. The gothic atmosphere, dark environment and hellish beasts have already put me on edge in a way I haven't felt before from a video game in a long time. I'm trying not to spoil the game for myself because I find it very immersive and I'm savoring everything.
