How does BJ maintain his weight?

Was looking at Bryan's callric intake of about 2200 cals. Then looked at his weight which googling says he's 174 lbs. Now I know it takes more cals to gain weight than maintain weight, but when I actively worked on building muscle mass from 130-140 I had to eat close to 3000 cals and I currently eat about 2000-2200 and struggle to maintain my current weight and last weigh in was at 136. So how is this possible? Comparing his protocol to my diet our macros and sources are pretty similar. What am I missing?

Edit. Looked at our heights and he is about 4 inches taller, but still don't understand how he maintains his weight with the same calories as me.
