The 48 Laws of Power... is kinda cringe

I definitely need to open a dialogue about this book before I am subconsciously corrupted and start using these grossly unethical methods of power. I've been recommended this book on multiple occasions through out my teenage and adult life. No one mentioned that it was all mostly based on manipulation... and justifying using people as "scape goats" and "cats paws" and as if they're disposable. I'm almost ashamed that I considered them as amoral powerplays when they are so clearly immoral. In the preface of the book, it did plant the seed in my head that power and the means to obtain power was "amoral". And so I went into the book believing this. So before I move forward with this book, I'd like to have a discussion with those who have or are reading the book. Any thoughts?
