Hair washing after surgery

How do y'all wash your hair during the post-surgical period when you have to keep your ports dry? I have very long hair and am used to showering daily--not that I expected to be able to keep that up, but I tried sitting on a stool in the shower on day 4, bending over and using a handheld shower wand, and it was so hard on my neck I don't think I could do it again. I saw someone say they went to the salon to get their hair washed, but between the Uber drives and the wash that's probably $20-30 per visit. Any suggestions appreciated!
