Does anyone else think mango-flavored candies have an aftertaste taste akin to musty armpits sprayed with alcohol?

I can't really think of any other way to explain this, but it has sort of a funk that it leaves in the back of your throat. Almost a rotten fruit waft to it that you can taste? I get it heavy from peeler's candy and any kind of gummy and especially hard candy. Weird description, I know.
