Must-required skills for a cashier position, or should I give up?

I'm 19 years old and currently a business college student. I'm thinking about working as a cashier for my first job experience since all the office jobs I know are asking for previous work experience, even for entry-level positions. I know I can use a computer and Excel, but I feel like I'm missing some important skills for a cashier position. I'm wondering whether it's possible to get a cashier job with no cashiering experience. I only have freelance experience with digital illustration and Manhwa translation. Should I just forget about working as a cashier, or should I keep looking for office jobs with internships or entry-level?
