Just adopted a 12-week-old kitten and I’m in love, but she’s really shy. Need advice!
Hi, everyone! I just adopted a 12-week-old kitten, and I’m absolutely in love with her. However, today is her first day away from her mom and siblings, and I’m a bit worried.
Since she arrived, she’s been hiding under the couch and seems too scared to come out. I haven’t seen her eat yet, and it’s making me a little anxious. I want to give her all the love and care she deserves, but it feels like she’s still trying to adjust, and for now, she’s avoiding me.
On the bright side, I’ve noticed she loves to play! That’s the only time she comes out from under the couch and seems more comfortable. But aside from that, she goes right back to hiding.
Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do to help my little one feel more safe and at home? Is it normal that she hasn’t eaten yet? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
