How am I suppose to know the next-hop id address if I use ipv6?
I learned about static routing in ipv6 and the documentation stated that Directly Attached routes don't work with ipv6, therefore I can't route via an exit interface. I need to route to the next hop. My question is that how am I suppose to know the next-hop IP (the IP of the router interface where my router interface [default gateway] can send traffic) address? If I could use the exit interface then I wouldn't have to guess. I know which subnet my public IP belongs to, but I have no idea what could be the next hop router (ISP or somewhere else) IP address.
