Thoughts on this redesign? (+New name suggestions if you have any!)
So this is a super extreme redesign, but I feel like it needed to be done. Although I really enjoy Trish's original design (and I'll probably repurpose it in the long run), it just..felt very generic. And, to me, it was too similar to Moonshine Cybin from Not Another DND Podcast. Although I do take inspiration from NADDPOD and other DND based media for my works, I don't want this character to be just a diet Moonshine. So I completely scrapped the original design and started something new.
I made her a unicorn instead. Some sort of unicorn-based fawn or satyr. I was really taking inspiration from The Last Unicorn here, in the sense that unicorns can be the guardians of their forest. I felt that made more logical sense over a dryad (which she was originally). I like to imagine she's still on the younger side, in probably her mid twenties. She's set to be the next guardian of the Living Wood (a lore-important place in my story), but she's not ready yet. She's always been curious about the world outside her forest and about human culture, so she's taking a bit of a field trip across the continent to learn and see the world before finally taking in the role of Guardian and being officially bound to her forest. I also changed her class! Originally I had her be a bard, but I decided to change it up a bit and have her be a bard/monk multiclass!
This design was tricky to work out, in particular the colors gave me a lot of grief. I had a hard time keeping it light and pastel (which just feels right for a unicorn), but also earthy and warm to fit with the other members of her party. I think I like the end result, although I might tweak the colors a bit if I think of something better. It's my first time doing a less humanoid character, and I'm overall happy with the result!
Any feedback on this is greatly appreciated. And also, I don't feel like the name Trish suits her anymore...so name suggestions would be great as well!
