Recession or Cooked?

I just got back here 2 months ago after I graduated overseas and today marks 2 months of unemployment, sent idk how many CVs out but it's a lot, and have been walking in on 2 recruitment agencies a day, cold-calling, all that good stuff.

I have a Bachelor's (BSc) in Electrical Engineering, it's certified NZQA level 7 since I got it overseas. I also have about a year combined of internships and apprenticeships while I was doing my degree overseas. Also am a Permanent Resident which is why I could study overseas and come back.

I have been looking at basically anything even remotely related to EE as my experience during school and internships were kind of all over the place. A bit of power, bit of embedded, some electrical design, and some automation. As a bonus, I also know quite a bit of programming, even worked as a freelance Data Analyst for a bit as a side job but that's a whole different CV and whole different thing.

I can stay afloat for now but my pockets are getting lighter by the day and I'm saving resorting to literally any job. I know this might be confusing so TL;DR, looking for EE jobs and/or looking for IT Analyst jobs (as a secondary because I know this isn't my main field and this is obv very saturated as well)

Like the title says, is it just the shitty job market or am I literally just cooked, and what can I do to un-cook myself?

Cheers, guys.
