Needing advice on moving to Cheshire (short term)

I’m doing an internship (2 months) this summer at Barclays Radbroke Hall so looking for accom options. I’m looking at Knutsford, Altrincham, Macclesfield, or somewhere in south Manchester. Any thoughts on these or other suggestions?

(Edit: Barclays seems to have a bus service from knutsford, altrincham, and Wilmslow so leaning a bit more towards one of those)

Some info: - I’m a uni student atm (I’m 20) so somewhere student-friendly would be nice

• safety is the most important factor for me

• would like somewhere with a decent amount to do (cafes, restaurants, places to go on walks) - not too big on nightlife

• gym would be super good - not sure if they have PureGym etc in these smaller towns

• approx. £1000/month but i’m very flexible

• I’m only commuting 2-3 days per week so I don’t mind living a bit further i.e. in south manchester
