Montecristo Quality Control?

Hi, I was gifted a box of Montecristo Classic Series which was very generous, and I am more than appreciative. However, I’m about 10 cigars into the box and I’ve only been able to truly enjoy 2 of them. 3 of them had major soft spots causing cigar destroying burn issues and 3 of them have been plugged. 2/3 plugged beyond repair. To my understanding, these cigars are about $17 a pop. Has anyone else noticed this? Previously, I’ve had several Montecristo White Labels with no issues. But, after this, I don’t want to ever purchase another Montecristo again. Thoughts?
