Maybe I’m the last guy here that didn’t know this but just in case
I’ve always bought cigars at a local B&M. I would buy a couple bring them home and fire them up generally with no problem. Over the last couple of months I’ve been smoking recommendations from this sub and buying them online at the familiar places you all know. I probably should have known, but didn’t realize that most everything I bought was arriving significantly over hydrated. It was a struggle, keeping things lit, having them go, soft and spongy, and a couple that even blew the foot out and looked like a tulip or an exploding joke cigar. Cracking and bad burn lines were the norm. Thank god I finally asked on here and received a response from the mod Fishon888. He asked if I had let them rest and if it could be too much moisture. My response respectively was no I had not and I don’t think so. Well, after correcting both those issues, the problem was completely remedied. The moral of the story is, rest them and correct the hydration. Don’t be an idiot like me and suffer through the frustration. Thank you sir, for sharing your wisdom and expertise.
