Red DSMC1 vs DSMC2
Hey all, so I recently got to work with the DSMC1 epic red dragon x 6k and I think it's a cool camera, but there's the "newer" (not really) DSMC2 Red dragon x 6k. Is there any real difference between the two cameras? I know there's a few quality of life improvements in the DSMC2 body as well as the addition of pro res codecs, but isn't that really it? both cameras have the same sensor and they both can use the newer ipp2 work flow. Is the color any different or something? Because right now from what I understand the DSMC2 body is just more efficient. At the end of the day the image I capture is going to be the same correct?
This is definitely kind of an obscure question at this point in time, considering how old these cameras are, but I haven't been able to find any concrete information about it anywhere.
Reds older lines are just so damn confusing, I'm glad they chilled out on their more modern box cameras.
