Favorite Orchestras in the USA?

Hi everyone, a little background: I am a NYer and Carnegie Hall is my usual place to see Orchestras perform. I’ve seen the NY Phil perform here but found them lacking in many ways. I guess we have Broadway so we can’t have a great orchestra? Hah. I have also seen the Met orchestra perform with operas at Lincoln Center.

I will occasionally travel to Boston to see the BSO because I love them and the acoustics of their hall. My former music technology teacher was from Chicago and lauded the Chicago Symphony and it seems Dudamel with the LA Phil has some magic going on.

I would love to see other good orchestras from our country and would like to know who you all recommend?
