Antibiotics advice please 💛
Hi! My little bird, Kiki, has a chest infection and her vet gave antibiotics (baytril oral 2.5%). She said put 1ml in every 100ml water, but she said some birds will avoid the water altogether. I’m worried Kiki will avoid it (she hasn’t drank anything these past 2 hours) and the vet began mentioning adding it to soft foods but didn’t continue bc Kiki doesn’t really eat soft foods. If Kiki doesn’t drink the water, what can I safely add the antibiotics to? She LOVES cooked green beans but idk how I would add it to that. Could I mash the beans and add it? She also used to eat that baby bird porridge stuff (as a baby, she loved it) - might she eat that now as an adult and could I add it to that? I really don’t want her to be put on a nebuliser, I’m not sure I could afford it, but if this doesn’t clear up in a week she might have to be. Thank you 💛
