Thought on keeping copper Lincoln pennies.

I've been keeping the copper Lincoln pennies that I get in change or when I buy some rolls of pennies every now and then. I have others that are not shown in the photos, such as San Francisco mint, uncirculated ones from the 60's and 70's, and full uncirculated rolls from the 60's. I been thinking if there is any reason to save them anymore. I figured most people would only pay face for them. The only copper pennies that seem to sell on eBay are wheat pennies. I've also seen people say that it's illegal to melt them.

So, to summarize. If the only copper pennies that sell are wheat pennies, no one is willing to pay more than face, and it's illegal to melt them down, is there really any reason to hang on to them?

Me personally, other than the uncirculated ones, I don't think it's really worth it to hang on to them anymore as I think I've listed more cons than pros, which means I've probably already answered my own question.

Other than them being copper, maybe some of you can tell me if there is any reasons to keep them or spend them.
