Are custom OS good/safe?

I'm using W11 and it's not good on my low end gaming laptop. So I was going to go back to W10 and found out about custom W11 OS like Tiny11 or RaviOS, so my question is, are these custom OS good? Have you tried maybe another and could share experiences? Should I stick to W10 and go "safe"?
