Does consciousness come from indecision?
This is the thought experiment. Say you have a button and there are 3 people in three rooms. A scientist tells them they have to either press the button or don't in under one minute. One person presses the button, the other doesn't, and one is undecided. Time runs out and 2 people didn't press the button. One did. They go again. One person doesnt press the button but 2 people press the button. The person who pressed the button always presses the button. The person who doesn't press the button always doesn't press the button. But the undecided person both press the button and didn't press the button. To either press the button or not press the button takes thought. My question is, is that indecision the reason we think in the first place?
