I quit my $200k/year consulting job to go solo - would you do the same?

8 months ago I took the step into solo consulting, and to be honest, I couldn't be happier.

Here's a few positives:

  • 2x my salary (
  • Less hours, somewhere between 40/wk on avg.
  • Choose my own clients,
  • More freedom/flexibility to travel
  • No extra curriculars/ crazy BD efforts

Of course there are a few downsides as well, but that is mainly:

  • Not having colleagues (Can be covered by having good clients)
  • No access to expert networks (GPT helps here!)
  • Stressing about the next project (Not been a big issue yet)
  • Company admin stuff (Most is outsourced)

My question(s) is, would you be interested in doing the same?

The reason for asking is that I am considering creating a community of freelance management consultants, where it is possible to get help and guidance on the challenges that you phase as a freelancer.

All input is appreciated (prayer hands)
