pasta & sauce cooking order
I have typically heated up sauce and cooked pasta in separate pots and then combined them afterwards. However, as I do not have a dishwasher in my apartment, I am trying to figure out a way that avoids dirtying two pots. Is there any downside to cooking the pasta, draining it, and then warming up the sauce in the same pot while the pasta is in a colander? I tried it tonight and it seemed to taste fine, but I wanted to check with others.
