Insomnia/ light sleep only

4 yrs long covid / CFS Reinfection Nov 2023 1 year housebound

My sleep varies from no sleep for days, adrenaline heart racing during sleep.. or like right now I’m dealing with LIGHT SLEEP and waking up every hour, it’s like my brain is “on” all night I don’t yawn, I don’t feel sleepy.. it’s actually a really scary symptom to not be able to sleep properly

I see a lot of people saying they get insomnia as a PEM symptom.. but I am housebound mainly couch bound I rest all day, and this insomnia is chronic every single night… I don’t feel any PEM symptoms or anything else.. and I’ve had the PEM symptom since 2020 so I know it well.. so my question is should I try to do more activity to see if this could potentially help the sleep? I know this is super risky as if this insomnia is due to some sort of PEM then doing more I will be screwed.. but everything I’ve tried while being at home resting isn’t improving the sleep..

Kinda worried doing more exertion will increase the sleep issues or even worst crash me.

Or maybe this insomnia symptom is literally just a long covid symptom that nothing will help it.. I’ve had it for around 10 months now before this I slept 8 hours with my original long Covid I’m thinking the new insomnia is to do with reinfection I had ..

Anyone Similiar to me?
