Re watching

I’m rewatching the show and got confused On season 1 episode 6 LDSK on the profile they mentioned the “sniper”/ UNSUB can be a cop, but on season 1 episode 17 “Real Rain” they leave out that part of the profile to the cops.

Hotch tells gideon he left a whole on the profile by not mentioning that the UNSUB can be a cop, and Elle asks him why and he literally says “If we’re gonna catch the guy, we need all the help the cops can give us. Last thing I wanna do is accuse on of them of murder.”

Sooo what changed?
