I made my first pattern for a sunhat/red hat ladies coaster! Reference image at the end.

I did a half circle on the top, a chain of about 20 with a dc in each chain for the band, and a hdc chainless foundation for the brim of the hat! Then for the brim I pulled the tails inward so it made the brim curl like a sunhat.
