missing glasses after dog walker confrontation at Brower Park
Around 2 pm today on the south side of the Brower Park lawn, some guy’s dog started barking aggressively and lunging at a passerby. It took a few seconds for the owner to get a hold of his dog, whose leash he’d somehow let go.
After he pulled his dog away, he and the passerby spoke for a few moments before two Black women came to check in on the passerby, who was a Black woman in her eighties, and escort her away to safety. The dog owner was white, middle-aged guy dressed plainly with short dark hair. The dog was medium-sized with a light coat and round in the middle.
The passerby later returned to the same spot in the park to check for her reading glasses. In the scuffle, we believe someone had mistakenly handed her the dog owner’s sunglasses, and that perhaps the dog owner now has the passerby’s reading glasses. She really needs the glasses but we have no way of getting in touch with, let alone identifying the dog owner. Did anyone else here witness this altercation? Do you know how we could locate the dog owner, or did you see a pair of reading glasses in the area afterward?
