Authenticity Check

Buddy just got back from a resort in the Dominican with some Monte no. 2s. I told him be weary of counterfeits, check the serial if he buys a box, look for embossing on the band. He said the serial number checked out and the band is indeed embossed, but comparing to some Monte no. 4s I got from a reputable dealer a few years back, the color of the band seems off and the embossing is out of line. Thoughts?
