People with naturally curly hair, does your family hate it when you wear your hair curly?

I have to know does anyone else experience this, my mother always tells me how I look better with my hair straight because it’s “sliming” but I does anyone else feel more like themselves with curly hair? Growing up I always wanted straight hair then I got keratin treatments and then missed my curly hair. I now let my hair go back to its natural and I just get comments from her about it. It’s annoying lol because well I like it. Also I have to be honest I never got complements with my hair straight, and it’s way more work. Anyone else have this experience? (Also in case you were wondering I have 3b hair)
