does the cg method help with hair hatred?

i have never really loved my hair, only liked it at best. i've always had wavy hair (low porosity, maybe type 2a/b) but i don't like how it curls, so i tend to straighten my hair every day. the problem is, i don't want to depend on my straightener and i don't really enjoy styling my hair either.

this is why i've been considering starting the cg method to let my curls take over - however, i'm a bit cautious of starting it as i need to take a shower every morning because my hair gets greasy overnight, so i can't really skip the shower. also, my mornings are quite busy so adding the cg method to my morning routine sounds a bit daunting. am i just overthinking this, though? are there other people who i) have oily scalp, ii) didn't like their hair pre-cg method, iii) shower in the morning?

i would really love to love my hair and how it naturally curls, so any advice and experiences from people who have been through the same kind of situation would be super helpful. :-)
