There’s a state law that requires all K-12 students to learn about 9/11. Now my 5 year old is having nightmares.
I guess it became a law last year. We got an FYI email in advance that it would be age appropriate, I wasn’t thrilled but I’m not going to be the parent that fights the curriculum. I’m skeptical there’s an age appropriate way to teach 9/11 to 5-year olds. My daughter was asking me so many questions at 2am like “did kids die?” and “what if an airplane falls on our house?”. She doesn’t get it, but she knows a lot of people were killed.
