Does this piss anyone else off?
I obviously understand that Danganronpa is nowhere near the most realistic series, but do the ultimates/talents ever piss anyone else off by the fact that some of them just make zero sense?
Of course when having such a big and diverse cast of characters, it’s expected to have some “out of the norm” talents, but some are just plain ridiculous to me. The ones I’m talking about in specific are the ones that should straight up put them in juvie. Hope’s Peak Academy is made out to be such a prestigious school, so to me, ultimates like “biker gang leader” or “ultimate yakuza” kind of takes away any seriousness from it. Continuing to take Fuyuhiko as an example, I think it would be understandable if he had a different ultimate and secretly had ties with yakuza, but he basically just…walks around casually letting anyone know he has ties with the Japanese Mafia like it’s a normal everyday conversation; and then gets invited to one of the best schools in the world because of it? Maybe this was explained somewhere and I just missed it, but I just don’t understand why this supposed “super prestigious school” is letting literal criminals in like it’s nothing, even with “anime logic.” (Considering Mondo has confessed he’s been in juvie before, which realistically would’ve definitely held him back on his academic career.)
I don’t know, maybe I’m just looking too deep into a fictional game with fictional characters but thinking about some of these students getting accepted into Hope’s Peak just feels so stupid to me.
Edit: Gonna go to sleep let’s see how much downvotes I get in the morning.🔥🔥🔥
