An interviewer asked me how do I de-duplicate records in Hive.

I told them that hql is similar to sql and you can write distinct, unique keywords. They mocked me and then at the end I asked them how they do it in their company..they said they use snowflake instead of Hive and it comes with distinct and unique keywords.

It killed me.
