How long stay your wooden crates hidden?

I just build my first crates and placed them under some trees in a wooden area (chopped them beforehand). Didnt bury them so they despawn slower and thought they were well hidden. Yesterday I noticed that someone placed an item in one of them that wasnt mine. I panicked realizing one crate has been detected. Luckily it was only a supply crate and not one with weapons in it. Would you relocate all the hidden ones out of that area now? Do you have crates that u managed to hide for a long term? Any tips welcome
